I am a native Houstonian educated in the primary grades at Travis Elementary and Christ the King Parochial School. I completed my secondary education at Incarnate Word Academy, St. Thomas University and the University of Houston.
I graduated from Incarnate Word Academy in May 1955, and entered the Community of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, September 8, 1955. After the period of Novitiate, I began as a second grade teacher at St. Theresa for an introduction to teaching. During the following years I taught at St. Vincent de Paul, St. Joseph, St. James-Port Arthur, Holy Name, Incarnate Word Academy, Marian High, Marian Christian, Kelly-Beaumont and St. Pius X. The preparation for teaching was obtained during the years of teaching.
From July 1991 to July 1997 I experienced another ministry as Executive Secretary of the Diocesan Central Council of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. This experience gave me some understanding and more compassion for the plight of the poor.
I taught Science at Incarnate Word Academy from 1998-2001. Presently, I am serving as the Historian at Incarnate Word Academy.
Praised be the Incarnate Word ! Laudetur Verbum Incarnatum !
