I am a native Houstonian, and in my growing up years I learned to play baseball before I learned to write my name. Since then, I've had an interest in baseball, basketball and other sports. In school, I played ball at recess and enjoyed it. I enjoyed my studies as well.
As an Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament Sister,
I taught school for 47 years -- 23 of which were in the Beaumont Diocese, Saint James Port Arthur and Assumption, Beaumont -- and a number of schools in the Galveston-Houston Diocese. I am a graduate of Incarnate Word Academy, Houston; and received a B.S in Elementary Education from Incarnate Word College, and a Masters in Religious Studies from the Pastoral Institute in San Antonio, Texas.
